Guiga Wolff

Florianópolis – SC, 1996

Guiga Wolff is currently studying Theater at the University of São Paulo. Her work as an artist joins photography, theater, and audiovisual means. Her interests are, mainly, the research on gender and sexuality, as well as contemporary religious mythology. Her current works dive into the mythology of Abrahamic religions as well as into trans and non-binary corporealities.

In theater, Guiga Wolff has worked mainly as a performer and artistic director. She considers the confluence of the materials present on stage and the performers’ bodies to be central to her work. Her photography and audiovisual works put mythology, gender, and sexuality in attrition with one another, and investigate the plasticity of diverse bodies and materials in the resulting discussions.
